About Tax Free Donations

Recent laws allow qualified seniors to make a tax-free charitable gift directly from their IRA.

Managing your charitable giving can be complicated, confusing, and, at times, overwhelming. That's why establishing a partnership with Galion Health Foundation makes such good sense. As a donor to Galion Health Foundation, you will enjoy many advantages that can only be found in a Health foundation.

Flexibility is an important part of GHF’s approach, and we offer a great variety of options for donors.

Whether it is to simplify giving, planning an estate, or maximizing tax benefits, we welcome the opportunity to explore your unique needs.

IRA Charitable Roller Gift

What it is.

The Pension Protection Act of 2006 (PPA 2006) created a new charitable planning opportunity under which an IRA owner age 70 1/2 or older may make a direct transfer to charity. The transfer may be up to $100,000 in one year. The Act provided this option for 2006 and 2007.
